Any roast is more tender in a pressure cooker. This will be the best tasting roast beef recipe you have had in a long time.
- Melt 1 Tbsp of butter in the bottom of the pot.
- Then sear the roast in the pressure cooker pot without the lid on.
- After you have seered all sides, top and bottom add 1 cup of water.
- Add ½ pkg of Lipton Onion Soup mix, with most of it on the roast.
A great tip for cooking roast is to add an onion as well (it adds great flavour to your gravy and roast).
- Put pressure cooker lid on and seal.
- Most roasts are done in 2 hours, if it is a large roast you may want to add more time and water.
It is important once the pressure has built up and the button pops up to turn the burner down to low so your water isn't gone before your roast it cooked.
Your family will definitely enjoy this easy roast beef recipe. Almost as much as you enjoyed NOT spending time in the kitchen!
