Make up Applying Tips that emphasize those assets and hide those flaws
Nobody is perfect, but we can learn make up applying tips that can attract more attention to our assets
and less attention to our flaws.
In clothes, black is slimming and white ..... well, isn't. The same applies to make up. If you want to hide flaws, use contour (dark makeup) and if you want to emphasize, use concealer (light make up). This concept is so overlooked when doing make up, except by professionals.
We recommend Max Factor Erace Cover-Up (in whichever suits your skin tone, of course)for the best make up concealer. For a contour, any of the bronzers on the market
will do (take your skin tone into consideration), just make sure what ever you use is non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores).
We suggest putting your foundation on first, then apply some of the make up applying tips below.
Be careful, remember to BLEND gently (use your middle finger) and don't apply contour too dark or you'll be set for Halloween.
Try applying your powder AFTER to blend everything together!
Here are some make up applying tips that can change what people notice or don't notice.
TO MAKE EYES LOOK FARTHER APART
- apply concealer in the inside corner of your eyes, using a small cosmetic brush works best, blend gently
- apply a few dots of concealer above your brow bone, just before your eyebrow ends, blend
- If you have dark circles, don't forget to cover them, they make eyes look tired and sunken
TO EMPHASIZE CHEEK BONES
- apply contour along the hollow of your cheek, just under your cheek bone
- apply concealer on your cheek bone, just a few dots should do it, blend gently
TO MAKE NOSE LOOK THINNER
- apply contour on the sides of the bridge of your nose
- apply a thin line of concealer down the middle of your nose, blend slightly
TO MAKE CHIN NOT LOOK SO POINTED
- apply contour to the end
- apply a dot of concealer just above the end
